Only existence this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would accident your caput make clean off, you've got to enquire yourself one question: 'Exercise I feel lucky?' Well, practice you, punk?
[The thief gives upward trying to retrieve his shotgun; Callahan picks it up and starts to walk away, lowering the hammer.]

Callahan: For $29.50, let it hurt. You tin can turn your back if you lot're embarrassed ...

Gonzales: Why exercise they call ya "Dingy Harry"?
De Georgio: That'due south one thing nigh our Harry, he doesn't play whatever favorites. Harry hates everybody. Limeys, Micks, Hebes, Niggers, Honkies, Fat Dagos, Chinks, you proper name it.

[pause]
Gonzalez'southward wife: I idea I could accept it ... Whatsoever it takes to exist a cop's wife, I'one thousand just not sure I'one thousand making it. Ah, merely peradventure information technology's when I scout him walk out that door at night, and I think, what if this is the last time I ever see him over again ... doesn't it bulldoze your married woman crazy?

Callahan: The daughter, where is she?
Scorpio: You tried to kill me!

Callahan: Where's the girl?
Scorpio: I have the right for a lawyer, don't shoot me, I have rights, want a lawyer.......(now whimpers in pain as Harry steps on his injury, causing still more suffering)

District Attorney: I've just been looking over your arrest report. A very unusual piece of law work. Really amazing.
Callahan: Yeah, well I had some luck.
District Attorney: Y'all're lucky I'm non indicting yous for assault with intent to commit murder.
Callahan: What?!
District Attorney: Where the hell does it say you've got a correct to kicking downwards doors, torture suspects, deny medical attention and legal counsel. Where have y'all been? Does Escobedo ring a bell? Miranda? I mean, you must have heard of the Fourth Amendment. What I'1000 saying is, that man had rights.
Callahan: Well, I'm all "broken up" about that man's rights.
District Attorney: Yous should exist. I've got news for you lot, Callahan. As shortly as he'south well enough to leave the hospital, he walks.
Callahan: What are y'all talking nearly?
District Attorney: He'south gratis.
Callahan: Yous mean you're letting him become?
District Attorney: We have to, we can't try him.

Callahan: And who says that?
District Attorney: It's the law.
Callahan: Well so, the law is crazy!
District Chaser: This is Judge Bannerman of the appellate court. He likewise holds classes in Constitutional Law in Berkeley. I've asked him for an stance — your Honor?
Approximate Bannerman: Well, in my stance, the search of the doubtable's quarters was illegal. Bear witness obtained thereby, such as that hunting burglarize, for instance, is inadmissible in court. You should have gotten a search warrant. I'm sorry, but it'due south that simple.
Callahan: Search warrant!? There was a girl dying.
District Chaser: She was in fact dead according to the medical written report.
Callahan: But I didn't know that.
Judge: The court would have to recognize the police officer'south legitimate concern for the girl's life, but at that place is no fashion they can perchance disregard police torture. All bear witness concerning the girl — the suspect's confession, all concrete evidence — would take to be excluded.
Callahan: (sighs) At that place must be something you can get him on.
Estimate: Without the evidence of the gun and the girl, (half chuckles) I couldn't convict him of spitting on the sidewalk. No, the doubtable's rights were violated, under the Quaternary and Fifth and probably the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments.
Callahan: And Anne Marie Deacon, what about her rights? I hateful, she'due south raped and left in a pigsty to die. Who speaks for her?
District Attorney: The Commune Attorney's office, if yous'll let the states. I've got a wife and iii kids. I don't want him on the streets any more than y'all practice.
Callahan: Well, he won't exist out there long.
District Chaser: What is that supposed to mean?
Callahan: I mean sooner or afterward he's gonna stub his toe and then I'll be right there.
District Attorney: This office won't stand for any harassment.
Callahan: You know, you're crazy if y'all retrieve yous've heard the last of this guy. He'due south gonna kill again.
District Chaser: How do you know?
Callahan: 'Crusade he likes it.

Principal: Accept you been following that human being?
Callahan: Yep, I've been following him on my own time. And anybody can tell I didn't exercise that to him.
Main: How?
Callahan: Cause he looks too damn practiced, that'due south how!

Mayor: (on phone) The jet must be fueled and ready to become in a half an hour. Skeleton crew, they must be volunteers. Tell them the man is dangerous. Well, here, I'll read you lot this note which was delivered at viii o'clock this morning: "To the Metropolis of San Francisco. You have double-crossed me for the last fourth dimension. I will call Mayor'southward role at ane o'clock and tell you about the hostages who I will be happy to kill if you don't do exactly what I say, Scorpio" (pauses) Well, you lot better have somebody standing by — it could be a faux warning but don't count on it.

Scorpio: Information technology's very elementary. I've got the kids and you lot starting time screwing around, the kids showtime dying. Is the plane prepare?
Mayor: The jet is being fueled and fix to go at the airport. The coin will be in that location by the time you lot get there.
Scorpio: All correct, now mind and heed very carefully. I'one thousand going to be driving along overnice and easy, just me and a charabanc load of kids. I'm going to plough off on the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. on my way to the Santa Rosa Airdrome. I don't want to see whatever police cars, helicopters, whatsoever. Now if you got the guts to play this game past the rules, the kids will accept a nice little airplane ride.
Mayor: Well, where are you going?
Scorpio: I'll tell the pilot when I get on the plane. No alerts, nothin'.
Mayor: I guarantee yous you will not be molested in any way. I give you my give-and-take of honor on it.

Main: Callahan? — yous willing to have the money to him?
Callahan: When are you people gonna stop messing around with this guy. He'south gotta be stopped at present.
Mayor: He's got a bus load of kids and I tin't take that run a risk. I gave my word of accolade on it, and he will non be molested — and that's a direct guild, Callahan!
Callahan: Well, you can only get yourself another delivery boy.

Scorpio: [singing] Row, row, row your boat/gently down the stream/merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily ...
Bus Child: Where are we going?
Scorpio: What? What did you say?
Omnibus Kid: Where are we going?
Scorpio: We're going to the ice-foam mill and encounter how ice-cream's made. Now everyone who doesn't wanna go tin go off right hither.
Bus Kid: I wanna go domicile to my mommy.
Scorpio: [slaps the child] Stupid kid! Come on sing everyone! Sing or I'll go dwelling house and kill all your mommies, sing, sing!

[The Scorpio Killer holds an innocent kid earnest at the edge of a cliff]
Scorpio: Drop the gun, creep!
[Callahan approaches Scorpio equally the latter laughs manically]
Scorpio: I'll blow his brains out! [continues laughing manically]
[Callahan approaches Scorpio, .44 Magnum in mitt]
Scorpio: Drop the fucking gun!
[Callahan pretends to drib his gun, only to fire it at Scorpio, who lets the kid get. Callahan then approaches the wounded Scorpio and points the gun at Scorpio, who is about to recollect his]
Callahan: I know what y'all're thinking, punk. You're thinking "Did he burn down six shots or but five?" At present, to tell y'all the truth, I've forgotten myself in all this excitement. Only existence this is a .44 Magnum, the almost powerful handgun in the globe and information technology will blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: 'Do I experience lucky?
